On June 16, 2014, SportsBusiness Journal published results from its eighth annual NHL sponsor loyalty study. The study, conducted again by Turnkey Research, showed positive results for both the league and its sponsors.

In his article detailing the results, author David Broughton, Research Director at SportsBusiness Journal, noted that “the NHL’s corporate partners in each of the sponsorship categories measured in this year’s survey saw an increase in the percentage of fans who correctly identified those companies as being official sponsors of the league.”
