Turnkey Intelligence (TI) is thrilled to announce the hiring of Donté Scott, a sports and entertainment executive known for his pioneering use of research and analytics in sponsorship and advertising.

Scott assumes the newly created role of Executive Vice President & Chief Insights Officer at Turnkey Intelligence. His primary focus is the development of TI’s landmark new approach to monitoring and valuating marketing partnerships for both properties and sponsors. Scott will also oversee all of TI’s custom research sales, and direct the company’s team of analysts.

Before joining Turnkey, Scott spent eight years at Jack Morton Worldwide, most recently as Senior Vice President, Research and Analytics. At Jack Morton, Scott established and oversaw client-facing strategic planning, measurement and analytics. He also managed the measurement, optimization and tracking of General Motors’ annual $200 MM+ sponsorship investment portfolio.

“Donté was instrumental in bringing the vision to reality for an industry-leading sponsorship data analytics center to our organization that provided benchmarks, values, metrics, comparisons and the ability to make informed decisions on how we assessed and negotiated all our sports, events and experiential programs,” said Steve Tihanyi, current Chief Marketing Officer at EventLink, LLC and longtime head of sponsorships for GM.

Independently, Scott has consulted for clients including Major League Baseball, ESPN and Sports Illustrated. Notably, he worked with MLB and the Partnership For A Drug Free America to create anti-steroid ads including “Statue” and “Shrinking”.

In 2014, SportsBusiness Journal named Scott to their prestigious “Forty Under 40” list on the strength of his analytical skills, and his ability to creatively work with top-shelf clients to accurately assess the impact of their sponsorship spends.

Scott received a B.A. in Sports Management and Communications from the University of Michigan, where he was also a member of the Varsity Basketball Team, and an All-Big Ten Conference Scholar-Athlete.

One of nine children himself, Scott currently residents in Michigan with his wife, Carrie, and their four children: Jordan, Tyler, Ryan and Lauren.
